God is love, 1 John 4:16 because he loves human beings immensely and He sent His only son to die for humanity.

Jesus came to earth as God’s son to show people and to teach people all about right living and thinking, Philippians 2:5.

However, Since the world couldn’t accept Jesus’ perfect way of thinking and living so they rejected Him as it was very difficult to come in terms with the different way of thinking involving thinking good for people all the time, loving your enemies and praying for them and to live a sacrificial life.

God Is Able To Love Even Sinners

God made all human beings so naturally He loves them all. However, when they sin He always tries to make them aware that its not right, Luke 16:28 but majority of people ignore God’s warning.

They assume that the tug in their consciousness, Hebrews 10:16 is just their feeling which is making them feeling guilty and nothing more. So, they will not do any attempt to observe the pain that their consciousness feels when it hurts someone or does something wrong and they go on with their life as if nothing happened. This is the root of all evil when a human being is not even close to his own heart. Therefore, it is necessary that a person pay close attention to those thoughts that tell him not to do certain things if its going to do harm to someone or anything.

Now the question as to why God is able to love those people who sin is because He knows that these people don’t know exactly what is in their heart. They are mostly confused and can’t perform well in terms of analyzing themselves completely correctly so God gives them time to make themselves right with God. God waits for His creation to come back to Him so that He can have fellowship with His creation, the humans, John 14:23. :

God sent His only son Jesus to die for our sins, 1 John 4:9 so that we may be made right with God. God wants to have relationship with human beings and one of the reasons why God made humans in His own image is because He wanted to commune with humans. However, due to man’s disobedience, 2 Timothy 3: 1-7 man is not able to have a relationship with God.

Take for example, God always communed with Adam and Eve, Genesis 3:8 and they too communicated with the Lord. But, when Satan came and seduced Eve, Genesis 3:1-4 she succumbed to his evil ideas and gave in to his way of working which was through deception and lies, John 8:44. This way of deception is very common in humans who are always trying to deceive others to get through their way.

God sent His only son Jesus so that people will know God intimately because Jesus is the visible form of invisible God, Colossians 1:15. Hence, when God sent Jesus He made sure that Jesus will work perfectly all the time in speech, thought and action so that people will know the right way to think and act and will have a role model in their life to follow, Philippians 2:5 . Jesus was perfect in every way and His sacrificial life should be emulated by all.

Jesus loved people very much and spent all His time with them. He didn’t spend His time with others to always to find faults with them or to spend His valuable time in things that have very little value. Take for example, In the early morning before the sun rose Jesus spent His time in prayer, Mark 1:35. After the sun rose He would spend His time doing good like working for His father Joseph as a carpenter and also spending the rest of His time with people who needed help in terms of physical, spiritual and emotional. Jesus never charged for His services and spent His valuable time for the good of others.

Jesus is love because He was ready to sacrifice His life for others even to the extent of dying for their sins.

He loved people so much that they would have to think of ways to understand as to how it is possible for a human being to love another human being so much because man by nature is selfish and so would never think of living a sacrificial life.

On the other hand, to see Jesus being so much sacrificial was something that they were not used to and this affected a lot of people deeply which made them to really love the Lord dearly. One of them was Mary Magdalene, John 8 : 1-11 who was forgiven by the Lord for doing adultery but she still was persecuted by people for being an adulterous wife and they planned to kill her. But Jesus asked her persecutors to throw the stone at her if they themselves have never committed a sin and they all left her unharmed. Then the Lord told her to sin “no more” because the Lord didn’t want her to sin as adultery is a sin in God’s eyes.

The account of Mary Magdalene is very important to understand the love of God for people because God doesn’t judge people based on things that cause people to do things that is considered sin by the society but God judges people by the things thought and acted upon from their hearts. What Mary Magdalene did was wrong both in the eyes of society and in the eyes of God but Jesus wanted to show the mercy of God for sinners by forgiving their sins and allowing them to have a second chance at life. Once people genuinely repent then it is possible for them to live a good life that is holy and sacrificial. Thus we see Mary Magdalene as a woman whom the Lord saved from death leading her to repent and become a disciple of Christ. She loved the Lord so much that after Christ’s resurrection He first met her, John 20 : 11-18 even before He met His other disciples showing how much He valued her.

Jesus loved humanity to the extent of giving His life for them but still many people don’t even try to understand the greatest sacrifice ever done by God for humanity.

On the contrary, they try to make sure that they live their life in total darkness away from God and everything related to God like not going to any church or spending time with people who know God. Instead they find joy in doing things that delight their heart like going to a lot of places where people do things that destroy their souls the brothels, the clubs which promote homosexuality and drinking and also places where drugs are sold.

Thus it must be seen that people don’t visit such places and should instead spend their time with people who are godly and spiritual and live a holy life. If they can’t find such people then they themselves should learn to live alone and try to cultivate friendship with the Holy Spirit who is their friend, counselor, helper and guide, John 14 : 16.

Holy Spirit was sent by God to people to help them as Jesus was taken up into the Heaven. Thus God made sure that the Holy Spirit was there when Jesus left, John 16:7 to help people.

Jesus Christ is coming soon and the time is near so people should get ready for the end times. We are at the cusp of end times and hence be sure of the way we live, think and act.

God is love because God made everything out of love. In the book of 1 Corinthians 16:14 it is written, Do all things in love because when you do things in love then your quality of work is of absolutely of great standard.

So when God’s Spirit moved over the waters it caused a change in the structure of water causing it to have power to give life to anything that is living. Thus we can see that God’s power gives life to something that is lifeless.

Let us see what happens when there is no life, When there is no life things don’t move in any level causing static things to remain static forever and this will make things lifeless. In order to provide life to a static thing it must need to be revived at the atomic level and that’s what God did when His Spirit hovered over the waters that were moving and static atoms in water came to life and now that water was useful for life.

However, the earth was still in darkness even though the waters were still with energy of life provided by God. Then God commanded that ” let there be light.” in Genesis 1:3 and suddenly the whole earth was filled with light. Now the question is ,‘How can there be light when the sun has not been yet formed?’ This means that in the beginning God Himself had light within Him to give light to the whole earth. Therefore, God is light.

This statement will come as a surprise to many because they think that the source of light is the sun, moon and the stars but according to Genesis 1:14-18 God made the sun after He separated light from darkness (Genesis 1:4). Therefore, God can create things as per His plans which means that light was there on earth before the creation of the sun, moon and the stars. In conclusion, God is light.

Now since the earth was filled with light it had to be made in a way that would help to differentiate between different times of the periods alignment with the different needs of living things that God was planning to make. Thus darkness was also needed to sustain life as some organisms need darkness to survive, for example, the bird that flies during the day needs to take rest in darkness because their eyes can’t adjust to the light to be able to rest and will die if they don’t get rest at all. One container formed the sea while the other the clouds. Later on, God started to develop things in the ocean like the different living things including the fishes and the mammals, Genesis 1 20-21. Gradually, the ocean got filled up with the organisms that were of different types like the plants that grow in water, the sea creatures which range from very small size to humongous ones.

Thus God made things that made earth beautiful both outside the waters and inside the waters. Outside the waters He made the land by separating it from the sea, Genesis 1: 9-10. Here He made trees, land animals, birds and humans. He also made the sun, moon and stars to help the living things to know the seasons. Thus earth became a livable place to inhabit.

Abraham trusted God ( Hebrews 11:8 ) so much that when God asked him to sacrifice his son (Genesis 22:2), he obeyed. Noah also trusted God ( Hebrews 11:7) and he made a ship in a place that was a dry land. From this we understand that trusting God is an important aspect of communion with God.

Love Your God With Your Whole Heart

This is the commandment of Jesus which He gave to people so that they would live by this law and they can know how to love God as many people don’t have an idea about the way to love God who made them. When you love God with your whole heart then God will protect you from thinking about things that affect your heart negatively.

For example, when you are angry with someone and you want to take revenge on that person then God will send His peace into your heart after which you would no longer try to think about taking your anger on that person. However, it must be noted that you need to first forgive the person for God to work inside your heart.

Love Your God With Your Whole Mind

Then, Jesus told the people to love your God with your whole mind. It means that your mind plays an active role in loving God because ideas and thoughts are formed in mind. These ideas and thoughts should be compatible with the word of God otherwise If a person’s thought is like that of the world then there is a distance between his mind and the mind of God resulting in incompatibility between the two.

Therefore, as it is given in the Bible that you should think like God ( Philippians 2:5) because God provides for everyone regardless of them being good or bad. See how the Lord provides rain to all humanity irrespective of their works ( Matthew 5:45 )So, we must be also like that otherwise why should God bless you if we only love people who love us and hate people who hurt us. We are supposed to be like God regarding our thinking towards others.

Love Your God With Your Whole Strength

We must love God with our whole strength because strength is something that is produced more as we continue to love God. Strength is used to do things with your body, mind and soul so, as you apply your strength to love God then you will gain energy in return to do all your works effortlessly because you have given a part of your whole assembly to have love for God. This will make you stronger physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Over a period of time you will see that you are performing well in all areas of your life which will add to your success by helping you live your life to the fullest.

A good example of loving God with your whole strength is found in the book of Samuel in the Bible. Here David loved God with His whole strength thus empowering him more to fight with his enemies and also helped him to win the war against the Philistines, the Amalekites and others.

Love Your God With Your Whole Soul

Here God is telling people to love God with their whole soul because when people love with their soul then their emotions also come into play and now they become lively than ever before leading them to feel life more subtly and helping them to feel for things that they never had.

Take for instance, a person who had been having problems to feel the love of others and so couldn’t have good relations with people now finds that his emotions have changed to the degree that he himself has started to love people and have good relations with them.

This is the way things change when you love God with your whole soul.

To summarize, we can say that since God made humans in His own image so man should try to commune with Him like Enoch by praying, trusting and loving God with their whole heart, whole soul, whole mind and whole strength.

Since it is not possible to live a life without turning to God who is our maker so it is important to have communion with God so that we can live a comfortable life and be not always confused and have anxiety problems.

The Holy spirit is your spirit guide who helps you in every way by being your comforter, friend, counselor and helper. So, every person should strive to invite the Holy Spirit into their lives because He is God Himself and Jesus sent Him to all those people who believe in Him and His sacrifice on the cross.

Why did God create humans in His own image?

God created human beings to have communion with them. God wanted people to have relationship with Him out of their free will. He didn’t want people to come to Him out of obligation or as a ritual. He wanted to have a relationship that is based on love, honesty and trust.

How was Enoch able to walk in the spirit all the time?

Enoch pursued the Lord earnestly. He didn’t waste his time in worldly pursuits. He devoted his time wisely by thinking about the ways of the Lord and how to walk in His ways which pleases Him. In this way Enoch pleased God so much that God took Him without Enoch having to see death.

Is it possible to walk like Enoch in today’s times?

Absolutely!To walk like Enoch one needs to love the God the Lord with their whole heart, whole mind, whole strength and whole soul.
